Case Study: Mrs C

  • The problem:

Mrs C was booked for a health assessment, she had no symptoms but the ECG showed an abnormal heart rhythm, which was potentially serious.

  • What happened:

Our HCP professionally referred her to her nearest A&E department who performed a further ECG which confirmed our findings. They then referred her on to a specialist cardiologist where the problem was thoroughly investigated and resolved with treatment and medication.

  • The effect on Mrs C:

Mrs C returned to work with any risk from her heart condition significantly mitigated, and any devastaing outcomes avoided.

  • The effect on the employer:

Mrs C was able to return to work without the need for a phased return. The employer did not lose her talent or have to pay significant amounts of sick pay.
